The reactions /sup 12/C(p,..cap alpha..*)/sup 9/B, with the alpha particle in its 20.1 MeV 0/sup +/ state, and /sup 12/C(p,..cap alpha..)/sup 9/B were studied simultaneously at incident proton energy of 45 MeV, and the results analyzed in a DWBA formalism with microscopic finite range form factors. The experimental cross sections for several angles are shown as well as the dependence of the form factor for ..cap alpha.. and ..cap alpha..*. 6 references. (JFP)
