Solid solutions of La/sub 1-x/Ca/sub x/Cr/sub y/Co/sub 1-y/O/sub 3/ with a perovskite structure are formed in the investigated substitution intervals: x = 0-0.3, y = 0.1. All chromium-containing solid solutions are p-type semiconductors with specific resistances of 1-10/sup -2/ Omega x cm at room temperature. The thermo-emf coefficients increase with increasing chromium concentration and decrease with increasing calcium content. The melting point and thermal stability of lanthanum cobaltite increase in the presence of chromium, while partial substitution of chromium by cobalt improves the sintering of lanthanum chromite.
