Pump apparatus including a firing head for use with a perforating gun on a tubing string
This patent describes an apparatus adapted to be disposed in a wellbore. It comprises a tubing string; a perforating gun devoid of a firing head and attached to one end of the tubing string; and a pump including a first portion and a second portion, the first portion connected to the firing head and adapted to be inserted into the other end of the tubing string, the second portion adapted to rest adjacent the other end of the tubing string when the first portion is inserted into the other end of the tubing string, the first head being disposed within the tubing string when the first portion of the pump is inserted into the other end of the tubing string, the perforating gun on the tubing string detonating in response to a detonation of the firing head in the pump.
