Conference · · Proc. - Int. Conf. Noise Control Eng.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5793290
On January 15, 1981, the Solano County, California, Planning Commission unanimously approved Pacific Gas and Electric Company's application to demonstrate wind turbine electric generation about 64 kilometers northeast of San Francisco. This action culminated several months of siting study. The siting factor of most concern to the County Planners was the potential for noise impacts on the human environment in the audible and infrasonic ranges strengthened by the MOD-1 Boone Site problems. The action taken to control noise is discussed.
