OSTI ID:5772697
The object of this invention is to provide an isocyanate-curable prepolymer which will adhere to a metal substrate, has good curability and good physical and chemical properties. The product is prepared by the reaction of an organic diisocyanate with a hydroxyl-containing unsaturated monomer and a polyester polyol, preferably containing 2 to 4 hydroxyl groups per molecule. (The polyol should have an average mol wt of 800 to 6000 and a hydroxyl equiv wt of 200 to 3000, and should contain a dimer acid residue derived from 9 to 70%, based on the total wt of the starting materials.
