A radiation curable composition suitable for use in coating or printing ink applications is described. The composition consists of a mixture of an unsaturated polyester prepared from polyhydric alcohol, unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, or unsaturated ether type polyester prepared from polyglycidyl ether and unsaturated monocarboxylic acid with a saturated monomer of lactone or lactam. The composition can be cured either with or without the addition of a photo-initiates.
