Contribution of the weak W current to the amplitude for elastic scattering of a lepton in a magnetic field

The contribution to the radiative corrections to the lepton mass arising from the lepton interaction with the W-boson vacuum in a constant magnetic field is calculated and studied in second-order perturbation theory in the electroweak coupling g. It is shown that in the linear approximation of the Weinberg-Salam theory this contribution can exceed the corresponding electrodynamic corrections if the strength of the external field is near critical: H/sub cr/ = M/sup 2//Vertical BareVertical Bar (M is the W-boson mass).
