Oscillations of the thermoelectric power of cadmium in magnetic breakdown

The transverse thermoelectric power and the magnetoresistance were measured in cadmium of high purity, of orientation (1010) in fields up to 150 kOe. Oscillations of the thermoelectric power were observed in a wide range of angles when H was rotated in the (1010) plane. Coherent magnetic breakdown between the first and second bands of the Fermi surface is used to explain the results.
