Evaluation of the pion-nucleus scattering lengths for light nuclei

On the basis of the coupling-constant-evolution method the real parts of the pion-nucleus scattering lengths Re a/sub piA/ have been calculated for nuclei from d to /sup 23/Na. The results are compared with other calculations and with experiment. A weak dependence of Re a/sub piA/ on the structure of these nuclei is found.
