The problem of the interaction of ..cap alpha.. particles with light deformed nuclei is studied using the folding method. The spherically symmetric nuclear part of the ..cap alpha..-particle potential and the form factors of inelastic collective transitions are constructed in analytic form. The relation between the deformation parameters of nuclear matter and those of the ..cap alpha..-particle and nucleon potentials are studied. Numerical calculations of the ratios ..beta../sup rho//sub lambda0//..beta../sup u//sub lambda0/ have been carried out for the group of nuclei /sup 24/Mg, /sup 28/Si, and /sup 32/S neglecting and effectively including the Pauli principle. The energy dependence of the deformation parameters of the potential is determined.
