Emulsions bombarded by 25- and 200-GeV/c protons have been used to study four-prong pp interactions with the aid of the parametrically invariant quantity g/sub 2/'. In the distribution of stars in the value of g/sub 2/' in the regions g/sub 2/'approx.1 and approx.1.5, concentrations of events have been observed which are due respectively to diffraction dissociation of a proton into a proton and to formation of a two-particle neutral cluster in the central region. An indication is obtained of a possible drop in the cross section for formation of a two-particle neutral cluster in the central region among four-prong pp interactions with increase of the primary energy in the range 25--200 GeV.
