Enthalpy of formation of binary uranium bromides

The standard enthalpies of formation at 298.15 K of UBr/sub 3/(c) (-697.0 +/- 4.0 kJ x mole) and UBr/sub 4/(c) (-811.5 +/- 4.0 kJ/mole) have been determined by solution calorimetry. New values have been calculated for ..delta..H/sup 0//sub f/ (UBr/sub 5/, c, 298.15) = -822.4 +/- 4.5 kJ/mole and ..delta..H/sup 0//sub1/ (UBr/sub 3/, c, 298.15) = 333 +/- 12 kJ/mole.
