Operations readiness review

This paper describes the objectives, methods, and results of the review of operations conducted as part of the pilot readiness review program at Georgia Power Company's (GPC's) Vogtle Electric Generating Plant. Operations readiness review was a success. It contributed to timely start-up of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant by accelerating preparations for operation. The review did not replace inspections by the NRC; however, if contributed to smooth functioning of the licensing process.
