Book ·
OSTI ID:5732127
This book is 64th in the series of monographs on Chemical Analysis edited by Elving and Winefordner. Chapter I deals with chemical separation. The analytical techniques for the determination of organometallic species of Sb, As, Cu, Ge, Pb, Hg, S, Se, and Sn are discussed. The second chapter presents a well-structured general review of column parameters and selective detectors for use of capillary gas column chromatography for analysis of environmental samples. Chapter 3 discusses recent advances in gas chromatography/mass spectrometry in environmental samples. Chapter 3 discusses recent advances in gas chromatography/mass spectrometry in environmental analysis. The material in this chapter concentrates mainly on a very general description of instrumentation. In chapter 4, a discussion of environmental applications of surface analysis techniques - PAS, XPS, Auger Electron Spectroscopy, and SIMS is given. ESCA in environmental chemistry is the subject of chapter 5. The sixth chapter provides a chemists view of the use of statistics in data analysis. 158 references.
