In order to reduce the spreading of particle tracks in streamer chambers as consequence of electron motion by diffusion by the time of high-voltage pulse application, it is suggested to use electronegative admixtures to the chamber gas; for the purpose of detaching electrons from the negative ions formed along a track, it is suggested to use a laser pulse illuminating the chamber immediately before application of the high-voltage pulse. The requirements to the admixed gases and the laser parameters are stated. The article gives results of estimates which show that it is possible to considerably improve the localization of tracks.
