Automated time-of-flight mass spectrometer with molecular-beam sampling

A system based on a time-of-flight mass spectrometer is described that is designed for study of the chemical structure of a solid-fuel flame. The gas sample is introduced into the ion source in the form of a molecular beam. The data-acquisition system employs an Elektronika-60M computer and CAMAC modules.
