This bill would provide for energy conservation standards for certain lamps, showerheads, faucets, and commercial and industrial heating and cooling equipment and electric motors. Section 3 contains energy performance standards for lamps, showerheads, and faucets. Section 4 contains energy performance standards for commercial and industrial electric motors and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. The bill appropriates $500,000 each for 1992, 1993, and 1994. Section 6 authorizes the US DOE to prescribe testing requirements for equipment. Section 7 authorizes the US DOE to establish a program to assist utilities and appliance manufacturers in the early introduction of high-efficiency equipment.
