Public Power directory 1982 and index to Public Power magazine 1979-1981

Statistics gathered from 3397 utility systems cover private power companies, local public systems, publicly owned joint-action agencies, rural electrics and cooperatives, and federal power agencies. The groups are compared by number of customers, sales, revenues, net plant investment, installed capacity, and generation in terms of 1980 dollars and their percentage shares. Other tables compare the 20 largest public systems. Directories listing the systems alphabetically by state include addresses, managers or supervisors, number of meters served, installed capacity, wholesale purchases, gross revenue, and the year established for public-power systems and local publicly owned utilities. The directories of national, regional, and state organizations, joint-action agencies, and federal power agencies also include addresses and the names and titles of officers. (DCK)
