EasTex cuts energy costs with heat-of-compression air dryers

Journal Article · · Chem. Process. (Chicago); (United States)
OSTI ID:5712015

Operation and performance of heat-of-compression air dryers at the Temple-EasTex, Inc. paper and paperboard mill in Evadale, Texas are described. The dryers regenerate spent drying towers to economize on both air and energy. Since no compressed air is lost, the plant's supply of compressed air is increased by as much as 15%.
