This paper reports the preparation of palladium-curium alloys, their fabrication into foil samples, and the results of studies on a number of their properties. The alloys were found to be solid solutions of curium in a palladium face-centered cubic lattice. The curium distribution in the bulk foil deviated by no more than 20% of the average. Studies were performed on the extent to which water leaches out the curium. Supplementary baking in hydrogen resulted in a curium leachability of 0.003-0.008% under standard conditions so that the samples could be classified as unleachable. The Pd-Cm alloys were easily soluble in nitric acid.
