Angular distribution coefficents for ({gamma},X) reactions with circularly polarized photons and polarized targets and a correction to previous tables

The formalism for capture of linearly or circularly polarized {gamma} rays on polarized targets with subsequent particle emission is presented in a convenient form. This allows one to generate the expressions for cross sections and analyzing powers in terms of reduced transition matrix elements. A Sample Table of the required generalized B coefficients is displayed and its use is illustrated in a specific example. An error in a published equation, which was used as the starting point of the authors previous tables for linearly polarized photons on unpolarized targets, has been corrected. This results in a sign change for those entries in the tables which correspond to E1-M1 and E1-E2 products. 5 refs., 1 tab.
