Eleven essays by energy advisers, policy analysts, economists, industrialists, and lawyers examine oil policies from each expert's perspective. The papers are grouped under five topics, Part One examining the political, social, and economic issues underlying Middle East oil production and stability. Part Two presents counterdisruption policy initiatives which emphasize alternatives to dependence on Middle East oil. Part Three summarizes the conference discussions which followed the presentations.
