Double-K-shell-vacancy creation in the decay of /sup 103/Pd

The probability P/sub K/K of double-K-shell-vacancy creation per K-electron-capture decay of /sup 103/Pd has been determined by means of a K..cap alpha..-x-ray--K-x-ray coincidence experiment: P/sub K/K = (3.13 +- 0.31) x 10/sup -5/. The energy shift of the hypersatellite Rh K..cap alpha../sub 1//sup H/-x-ray line was found to be 512 +- 10 eV.
