Rho and omega meson production are studied in ..pi../sup +/p interactions at a center of mass energy of 5.4 GeV. The results are used to test the quark combinatoric model and the Lund model of low p/sub perpendicular/ reactions. The reactions ..pi../sup +/ p ..-->.. ..pi../sup +/ p..pi../sup +/ ..pi../sup -/..pi../sup 0/, ..pi../sup +/p ..-->.. ..pi../sup +/ p..pi.. /sup +/..pi../sup -/..pi../sup 00/..pi.., and ..pi../sup +/p ..-->.. ..pi../sup +/..pi../sup +/ ..pi../sup +/ ..pi../sup -/n..pi../sup 0/ are selected from 677,000 bubble chamber pictures obtained at the SLAC Hybrid Bubble Chamber Facility with a 15.7 GeV/c beam. A lead glass photon detector was used to detect photons from ..pi../sup 0/ decays. Additional exclusive final states are obtained from another analysis of this data and from another ..pi../sup +/p bubble chamber experiment at 15 GeV/c.
