Instrument to detect vapor nucleation of superheated drops

An instrument to detect the vaporization of superheated drops is described. Using this instrument, quantitative tests have been performed of the response of the superheated drop neutron detector (Nucl. Instrum. Methods 162, 603 (1979)), a tool for possible use in neutron dosimetry, area monitoring, and nuclear spectroscopy.
