The Springen Ranch field produces from Cretaceous Muddy Sandstone from a depth of 7,600 ft. The reservoir is of the stratigraphic type with about 15 ft of net pay and an average porosity of 20%. This is a water-drive field with about 40 gravity oil and a GOR of 900:1. A recovery of 200 bbl/acre ft is expected from 4,900 proven acres. Ultimate primary recovery is estimated to be 14.7 million bbl.
