The authors obtain quantitative characteristics of the decomposition of cyclohexenyl hydroperoxide ROOH (I) with the participation of a copper chelate as a catalyst. In the elementary stages of free radical formation in the process of hydroperoxide decomposition catalyzed by a copper chelate, there is no change in the ligand environment of the original catalyst. The interaction of the hydroperoxide complex of copper with the free radicals is the basic process leading to changes in the ligand environment of the original catalyst.
