A pilot conservation project at Chicago's Police Headquarters Facility may be expanded to a city-wide program. Energy use at the facility is expected to drop electricity and natural gas costs 24% by retrofitting lamps, modifying building systems, adding window films and economizers, and converting electric heaters to natural gas. Careful auditing and low-cost, no-cost housekeeping measures will be used throughout the demonstration. (DCK)
