Crystal and molecular structure of [CpRu(PPh[sub 3])[sub 2](t[minus]C[sub 4]H[sub 4]SH)]BF[sub 4]

The structure of the [CpRu(PPh[sub 3])[sub 2](t[minus]C[sub 4]H[sub 4]SH)]BF[sub 4] complex was determined by X-ray diffraction techniques; monoclinic space group P2[sub 1]/c, a = 14.662(9), b = 18.515(7), c = 15.368(6) [angstrom], [beta] = 101.88(5)[degrees], V = 4082(6) [angstrom][sup 3], Z = 4, R = 0.049, R[sub w] = 0.057. The Ru is attached to two triphenylphosphine ligands, a cyclopentadienyl and the t-butylmercaptan. The Ru-S distance is 2.396(2)[angstrom] and the S-H distance is 1.289(2)[angstrom].
