In double color charge exchange of an incident hadron on the various nucleons of a nucleus it is possible to diffractively excite a color dipole, the decay of which leads to emission of one of the nucleons of the target into the backward hemisphere. We have calculated the contribution of this mechanism to the cross section for the process pd..-->..p/sub B/X, which turned out be very large in the hard part of the momentum spectrum p/sub B/> or approx. =500 MeV/c. We have analyzed in a quantum-mechanical approach the dependence of the significant longitudinal distances on the cumulative momentum. We discuss the predictions for production of dibaryon resonances with color separation, elastic pd backscattering, polarization effects, and other effects.
