OSTI ID:5644253
The principles of airflow in and around buildings are briefly reviewed, including ventilation in rooms with windows in only one wall, ventilation augmentation by wingwalls, whole house roof ventilators, and the effects of grouping buildings, trees and landscaping, and insect screenings. Window design is briefly discussed, followed by design guidelines for naturally ventilated homes and some example home plans. Whole house fans are also discussed briefly. A design procedure is included to size windows for naturally ventilated rooms. (LEW)
