The calibration system is a collection of special-purpose CAMAC modules that provide programmable calibration signals for the purpose of calibrating data acquisition systems used to collect data from various types of transducers. The processor-based controller receives high-level English-type commands over a IEEE-488 bus, interprets the commands, then translates them into command signals to the calibration modules. CAMAC's modular structure provides easy configuration of a calibration system to match the data acquisition system. 11 figures.
