Three-body Lippmann-Schwinger equations

We present an alternative derivation of the necessary set of three-body Lippmann-Schwinger equations, which makes use of the asymptotic form of three-body scattering states in various channels and sheds light on certain possible traps. Thereby making explicit use of the identities for the channel resolvent operators, the homogeneous Lippmann-Schwinger equations are shown to be correct and consistent with the inhomogeneous one, contrary to a recent suggestion by Mukherjee.
