It is argued that despite Benoist-Gueutal's criticisms, the inhomogeneous and homogeneous Lippmann-Schwinger equations describing two-body collisions in three-particle systems are valid. In particular, it is shown that the integrals which occur in Gerjuoy's derivation of those equations can be meaningfully defined.
