This article presents test data and field evaluations of a new treating fluid system consisting of 2% KCl, organic solvents and surfactants that has been designed to irreversibly reduce oil-phase mud viscosity while suspending mud solids for removal from the reservoir. Also presented are case histories of Anadarko basin wells where significant production increases were achieved with the treatments.
