Thesis/Dissertation ·
OSTI ID:5613403
This thesis reports on the measurement of the ninety degree inclusive cross-sections of the reactions pp ..-->.. pX, ..pi../sup +/p ..-->.. pX, pp ..-->.. ..pi../sup +/X, ..pi../sup +/p ..-->.. ..pi../sup +/X as the transverse momentum approaches its kinematic limit. The most successfully used model in this field is the Constituent Interchange Model (CIM), and has been used to fit various other data at intermediate values of the transverse momentum. While the exponents of the functional fit are different for this data, they do not fall outside the framework of the CIM.
