Kinetic isotopic effect of hydrogen in reaction of cumylperoxy radical with a molecule of hexamethylbenzene

Rate constants were determined for the reaction of cumylperoxy radical with the molecules of hexamethylbenzene and hexamethylbenzene-D{sub 18}. They are equal to 10{sup 9.1{plus minus}0.3} exp ((-12.5 {plus minus} 0.5)/RT) and 10{sup 9.5{plus minus}0.6} exp ((-14.5 {plus minus} 0.5)/RT). The data obtained were compared with those in the literature.
