Volumetric measurement of gaseous fuel samples

A method is described for the volumetric measurement of gaseous samples at normal temperature and pressure. Specific directions are included for various types of measuring apparatuses; and capacity, range of operating conditions, and calibration procedures for each type of apparatus are included. The container-type apparatuses discussed are immersion type of moving-tank type cubic-foot bottle, portable cubic-foot standards, fractional cubic-foot bottle, burettes, flasks, etc., for chemical and physial analysis, and calibrated gasometers. Both displacement type and rate-of-flow type gas meters are discussed. The method is suitable for application for liquefied petroleum gases. (BLM)
