Estimation of the hadron formation length in neutrino interactions

Data on the multiplicity of protons in interactions of neutrinos with the nuclei of Freon CF/sub 3/br in an experiment in the SKAT bubble chamber, and the intranuclear cascade model, have been used to obtain an estimate of the hadron formation length, from which it follows that particles with energy above a few GeV are not rescattered by intranuclear nucleons. The cascade model taking into account the length of formation if hadrons produced by neutrinos provides a description of the experimental data, in particular of the yield of cumulative protons.
