Stimulated emission due to Be II transitions in a recombining laser plasma

Journal Article · · Sov. J. Quant. Electron. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
Stimulated emission was observed as a result of transitions in the Be II ion (lambda = 467 and 436 nm) in an expanding laser plasma strip (2 cm long and 200 ..mu.. wide) formed on the surface of a solid target by a neodymium laser pulse (approx.20 J, approx.10 nsec).
