(Reactions of metallocumulenes with carbides). Progress report, 1985-1986

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5583758

During our first approximately nine months of DOE support, we have begun to investigate several areas of metallacumulene and carbide chemistry. We have continued to develop the alkynylsilane/fluoride method and have found that it is the most reliable procedure for many iron and ruthenium alkynyls ((M) = (Fe(CO)/sub 2/(Cp)), (Ru(PR/sub 3/)/sub 2/(Cp)), etc.). Alkynyl, vinylidene, allenylidene, and butatrienylidene complexes and carbides are studied. 4 figs.
