Testimony before the Committee examined the potential for enhancing oil recovery by tertiary methods and the extent to which various incentives are needed to encourage use of this technique are described. Senate Bill S.2623 (A Bill to Provide for Increased Petroleum Production in the United States Through the Use of Incentives for Tertiary Recovery Processes) and S.2999 (A Bill to Amend Non-Nuclear Energy Research and Development Act of 1974, and for Other Purposes) are discussed.
