A bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives to amend the Solid Waste Disposal Act to ensure that any solid waste exported from the United States to foreign countries is managed to protect human health and the environment. The waste should be disposed of in a manner that would be permitted in the United States and which is no less strict than that which would be required by the Solid Waste Disposal Act if the waste were managed in the United States.
