This patent describes a catalytic process for dewaxing a waxy lubricating oil stock boiling in the range of about 450{degrees} F.+ and selected from the group consisting of a low nitrogen content deasphalted raffinate, distilled hydrocracker bottoms, and mixtures thereof. It comprises contacting the waxy stock and hydrogen gas with a catalyst comprising a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite having a Constraint Index of 1 to about 12 and a silica to alumina ratio greater than 12, the contacting being conducted under a combination of conditions including a temperature of 400{degrees} to about 725{degrees} F.; hydrotreating the effluent prior to recovering the dewaxed lubricating oil stock and low octane by-product naptha.
