Data quality objectives summary report for the 105-F and 105-DR Phase III below-grade structure and underlying soils

The scope of this data quality objective (DQO) summary report involves the characterization of below-grade structures for interim closure and waste designation. The project is Phase 3 of a four-phase Interim Safe Storage (ISS) Project to remove and dispose of the rooms and facilities surrounding the 105-F and 105-DR Reactors. This includes the D and D and interim closure of the 105-DR fuel storage basin (FSB), the underlying soils, and the below-grade rooms and tunnels at the 105-F and 105-DR Reactor buildings. Phase 3 also includes removal and disposal of the on-grade floor slabs that remain after Phase 2. Also included within Phase 3 are those activities needed for clean closure of the 105-DR Large Sodium Fire Facility Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 2048A)'' treatment, storage, and disposal (TSD) unit. These activities include the removal and disposal of the remaining TSD structures and clean closure of the soils beneath the 105-DR Large Sodium Fire Facility underground exhaust duct. Contaminated demolition rubble will be disposed in the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility.
