Energy projects to be judged on investment merit in '84

Journal Article · · Energy User News; (United States)
OSTI ID:5560886
Energy-conservation projects will have to stand on their economic merits in 1984, which will require a 50% return on investment instead of last year's 35% return. Industrial managers will be considering cash flow and net present value as well as payback when they decide on conservation investments. Until the economy improves, projects with low or no cost and one-year paybacks will compete with other capital investments. (DCK)
