  1. Sandia National Labs., Albuquerque, NM (USA)

Sandia scientists have developed highly parallel algorithms to solve complex problems at unprecedented speedups. This work will: describe the methods and algorithms used to achieve the unprecedented speedup levels; discuss techniques for minimizing and quantifying redundant computation, communications, and serial overhead as a function of problem size and number of processors; and discuss both algorithmic and hardware roadblocks to high efficiency at high levels of parallelism.
