The authors present work on the photolysis of CF{sub 3}NO and NO at millitorr concentrations at a temperature of 298K. The interest is in studying the reaction products of CF{sub 3}O and NO reactions, since the kinetics of such reactions is an unknown in the possible pathways for tropospheric degradation of hydrofluorocarbons and hydrochlorofluorocarbons. The effect of methane on possible reaction channels was also studied.
