Pion-baryon interaction and the static properties of baryons in the chiral bag model

We consider the SU(2) x SU(2) generalization of the MIT bag model where the pions play the role of Goldstone particles which interact with the surface of the quark bag and do not penetrate inside. The coupling constants and form factors of the pion-baryon interaction, the axial constant of ..beta.. decay, and the magnetic moments of baryons are calculated. The results are in satisfactory agreement with experiment.
