The use of high strength magnets for material separation is discussed in the cited reports. Major emphasis is placed on the separation of magnetic materials from coal; however, magnetic separation is also discussed in terms of waste water treatment, desulfurization of minerals, and the recovery of iron oxide from flyash. In addition, magnetic separation is applied to recycling and processing of solid waste. (This updated bibliography contains 234 citations, 109 of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
